Vishay / Dale EDLCBU-3V3 Reference Design is a circuit that provides backup power using an EDLC supercapacitor as the energy storage element. It is engineered to supply high peak currents, with inductor current limits ranging from 1A to 5A. The EDLCBU-3V3 circuit can be used to supply photovoltaic-powered IoT nodes with energy during darkness. The design ensures reliable backup capability for devices that require immediate need of power during supply interruptions.
