Toshiba TC78H670FTG Ultra-Compact Stepper Motor Driver
Toshiba TC78H670FTG Ultra-Compact Stepper Motor Driver is a capable and flexible two-phase bipolar stepping motor driver that uses a PWM chopper and exhibits built-in dual H-bridges. This motor is suitable for 1 to 4-cell batteries or 12V-powered industrial, consumer, and healthcare devices requiring high integration. The TC78H670FTG stepping motor driver can operate from 2.5V to 16V with 2A output current handling capabilities. This motor driver features a 128-step resolution that offers ultra-precision control without a complex closed-loop design. The TC78H670FTG stepping motor driver allows full, half, quarter, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, and 1/128 step operations. The TC78H670FTG stepping motor driver incorporates a built-in Advanced Current Detection System (ACDS) to eliminate the need for a sense resistor for current protection. This feature saves both cost and board space. This driver offers thermal shutdown (TSD), over-current shutdown, motor-load open, and under-voltage lockout (UVLO) error detect functions with a flag output function. The TC78H670FTG stepper motor driver provides flexibility in controlling speed and direction in simple clock input or host-supported serial interface. This motor driver comes housed in a compact and thermally efficient QFN16 package.
