Texas Instruments TAS2781 Class-D Amplifier
Texas Instruments TAS2781 Class-D Amplifier is optimized with real-time integrated speaker protection and audio processing. The TAS2781 delivers 25W of continuous power into a 4Ω load with less than 1% THD+N at a supply voltage of 18V. The device's broad voltage input range and high output power are ideal for battery or line-powered systems. The TI TAS2781 Class-D amplifier's on-chip DSP supports the Texas Instruments Smart Amp speaker protection algorithm. The integrated speaker voltage and current sense equip for real-time monitoring of loudspeakers. Y-Bridge power architecture improves amplifier efficiency by internally selecting the supplies for optimal headroom. A brownout prevention scheme with an adjustable threshold reduces the signal path gain when the supply drops.
The Hybrid-Pro algorithm enables the user to optimize efficiency and improve battery life by controlling the external power supply. Up to eight TAS2781 devices can share a common bus through I2S/TDM and I2C/SPI interfaces.
The TAS2781 is housed in a 30-pin HR-QFN package for a compact PCB footprint.
