Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP2639A Switching Chargers are highly integrated, switch-mode battery charging management devices for two-cell Li-ion and Li-polymer batteries. These flexible modules work in charge mode, discharge mode, and sleep mode. The series can charge a two-cell battery from a 5V adapter or USB input. MPS MP2639A Switching Chargers limit the die temperature to a preset value of 120°C for a safe operation. Features include battery temperature monitoring, a programmable timer to prevent prolonged charging of a dead battery, overvoltage protection, and thermal shutdown. Applications include power stations, power banks, and mobile internet devices.
