Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MA734 Contactless Angle Sensors
Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MA734 Contactless Angle Sensors detect the absolute angular position of a permanent magnet, typically a diametrically magnetized cylinder on a rotating shaft. The MA734 features a fast data acquisition and processing that implements accurate angle measurements from static angle measurement to high-speed rotation. The adjustable digital filtering optimizes control loop performance when used in servo motor applications. The MPS MA734 Contactless Angle Sensors support a wide range of magnetic field strengths and spatial configurations, including end-of-shaft and side-shaft (off-axis mounting) configurations. Configurable thresholds detected by the strength of the magnetic field allow the MA734 to be used for push-button human-machine interface (HMI) applications or diagnostic purposes.
The on-chip, non-volatile memory (NVM) delivers storage for configuration parameters, such as the reference zero-angle and magnetic field detection thresholds. Additionally, the MA734 is programmable with volatile registers without accessing the NVM.
The MA734 Sensors are offered in a QFN-16 (3mm x 3mm) package.
