Infineon Technologies BTS50025-1TEA Shield for Arduino
Infineon Technologies BTS50025-1TEA Shield for Arduino provides a simple and easy-to-use user interface for getting familiar with the BTS50025-1TEA high-side switch running on a PC. This shield comes with four samples of the BTS50025-1TEA switches to drive four different loads. The BTS50025-1TEA switch is a low ohmic smart high-side power switch in a DPAK package. Using the Arduino form factor, this shield can be used in stand-alone mode or controlled by an Arduino board or Arm® powered XMC™ microcontroller kits. The BTS50025-1TEA shield comes with test points for each input control, each current sense, and each output.Features
- Evaluate the BTS50025-1TEA driving a specific load
- Comes with four BTS50025-1TEA switches
- Checks the BTS50025-1TEA behavior using PWM signals generated by the Arduino board
- Captures the current profiles of the driven loads on the Arduino
- Each BTS50025-1TEA can be independently controlled from the Arduino digital connector (D9 to D12)
- The Arduino can sample the load current sensed by each BTS50025-1TEA on the analog connector (A0 to A3)
- Output voltage, input logic, and analog current feedback can be measured externally with test points
- Test points for each input control, each current sense, and each output
- Easy plug of scope probes to monitor signals on the board
- Compatible with Infineon XMC1100 boot kit and the Arduino UNO
- Provides a continuous current of up to 25A to 4 different loads (12V)
- An LED will turn ON to indicate that BTS50025-1TEA is switched ON
Applications
- Automotive:
- Starter relay in "start-stop" systems
- Electric brake vacuum pumps
- Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) heating systems
- Glow plugs
- Robot applications:
- 12V DC motor drives with up to 4 motors that offer up to 20A each
- 3D printer:
- Heating elements control (heating plate and heating resistance)
- Protected 12V supply for control boards
