Broadcom AFBR-S50MX85I Time-of-Flight Sensor Module

Broadcom AFBR-S50MX85I Time-of-Flight Sensor Module is a multipixel optical distance and motion sensor module that uses Time of Flight. The Broadcom AFBR-S50MX85I is designed for applications requiring high speed and accuracy at medium distances, with a compact size and low power consumption. Thanks to its ambient light suppression, the sensor performs well outdoors, even in sunlight. It reliably measures distances on various surfaces, including white, black, colored, metallic, and retroreflective materials. The module includes an integrated infrared laser and an internal clock and operates on a 5.0V power supply. Data is transmitted via a digital Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) with standard 3.3V CMOS levels. It also features a reference pixel for system health monitoring alongside built-in voltage and temperature sensors.
