Analog Devices Inc. EVAL-KW4101Z KWIK Demo Board
Analog Devices EVAL-KW4101Z KWIK Demo Board is a know-how with integrated knowledge (KWIK) demonstration board designed for evaluating current through a precision integrating transimpedance amplifier (TIA). It can measure the femto ampere (fA) level of dark current of a TIA as well as the pico ampere (pA) level of signal current with the included light-emitting diode (LED).The Analog Devices EVAL-KW4101Z is mainly an integrator circuit with a 24pF external film capacitor. A voltage divider circuit is connected to the TIA's non-inverting input pin, with R1 and R2 being 1.27kΩ and 1kΩ, respectively. This feature thereby sets the common-mode input voltage (CMV) to 2.2V. The main circuit involves a sensitive photodiode and is thus confined within a black box enclosure to reduce the effects of ambient lighting conditions.
The EVAL-KW4101Z employs the ADA4351-2 for the integrator circuit. The ADA4351-2 is a compact, monolithic, dual-channel, precision programmable gain transimpedance amplifier (PGTIA) that offers a groundbreaking solution for accurately measuring small currents across a wide dynamic range.
The ADA4351-2 can be operated using a supply voltage from 2.7V to 5.5V. It can be conveniently powered by the ADALM2000 with a single 5V supply, enhancing usability in different setups. It is also configured to receive a signal from the ADALM2000 signal generator.
