Infineon Technologies EVAL_40W_FLY_P7_950V Adapter Reference Board
Infineon EVAL_40W_FLY_P7_950V 40W Adapter Reference Board is a test platform for low-cost charger applications, displaying the functionality of the 950V CoolMOS™ P7 SJ MOSFETs. The EVAL_40W_FLY_P7_950V is a quasi-resonant snubberless flyback converter solution for high-efficiency adapter designs. The board is a highly reliable system, designed to fit a very small form factor while maintaining high efficiency, low standby power, and various modes of protection.
The Infineon 950V CoolMOS P7 has a higher breakdown voltage, resulting in the use of applications that require a high input voltage. The EVAL_40W_FLY_P7_950V demonstrates how to use the 950V CoolMOS P7 in a snubberless flyback converter with up to 40W of output power. Additional design flexibility is attained on the board by eliminating the snubber network, increasing efficiency, and eliminating the PCB hotspot.
