Hammond Manufacturing Interstage Tube Drivers
Hammond Manufacturing Interstage Tube Drivers are available in two styles: the open-style 124 Series with minimum 5" long primary leads, and the closed-style 126 Series with minimum 8" long leads. The 126 Series is designed for driver use only in single-ended tube output amplifiers. The drivers replace coupling capacitor circuits for improved sound, while the bifilar wound windings provide exceptional coupling and bandwidth. The 126 Series features a gapped core to support the specified DC bias current, along with 20Hz to 20kHz minimum frequency response and 400VDC maximum working voltage. The modules are hipot tested at 1000VDC.The 124 Series is designed for general use or as a replacement in push-pull and phase inverter tube driver circuits. The drivers are not recommended for single-ended applications because the modules have no gap for DC bias current in SE mode. The 124 Series offers a minimum frequency response of 150Hz to 15kHz (+1/-3dB at 1kHz). The 124C part is the coil only for experimenters who want to use their own iron.
