Fastener Applications in Commercial ESS

PEM Fastener Applications in Commercial Energy Storage Systems (ESS) include fasteners for every component of a battery ESS. PEM fasteners are IP-rated for ingress protection and fully tested to protect electric vehicle (EV) components from the elements. The fasteners expand and contract to keep joints sealed after thermal expansion. PEM mechanical bolted joints are easy to disassemble and reassemble. Reliable current-conducting joints join busbars, handling high current loads while maintaining low electrical resistance. PEM fasteners are designed to join lighter-weight, dissimilar metals.

B™ Self-Clinching Blind Fasteners

PEM B™ Self-Clinching Blind Fasteners provide permanently mounted blind threads in metal sheets as thin as 0.040″ or 1mm. These fasteners provide a barrier to protect threads from foreign matter. The B™ blind fasteners limit screw penetration and protect internal components from damage. These fasteners feature shanks that act as pilots. The B blind fasteners can be installed with a standard press applying squeezing forces between parallel surfaces. These fasteners are used in aerospace, automotive, electric vehicle chargers, medical, electronics, energy, and telecom applications.

Automotive Electronics (AE)

PEM Automotive Electronics (AE) feature design-engineered products and solutions for critical applications. As electronics-based systems in vehicles become more complex, high performance and reliability are key. PEM fasteners are lightweight and feature a reduced footprint, less assembly time, and safety-critical reliability. They are manufactured in PEM's Clean Lab, which uses sophisticated cleaning and testing processes to meet ISO 16232 and VDA 19 standards. PEM Automotive Electronics products include fasteners, self-clinching nuts, studs and pins, standoffs, captive panel screws, compression limiters, and cable-tie mounts and hooks.
