The Versal AI Edge VEK280 EV Kit features the AMD Versal AI Edge VE2802 Adaptive SoC. The Versal AI Edge series allows developers to rapidly evolve their sensor fusion and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for machine learning (ML) interference applications in industrial, vision, healthcare, automotive, and scientific fields.
The AMD Versal AI Edge VEK280 kit, available from Mouser, enables the evaluation and development of the Versal™ AI Edge series-based applications with various high-speed connectivity options and hardware acceleration engines for AI Engine-Machine Learning (AIE-ML) and DSP. The VEK280 board offers reduced latency, enhanced compute performance, and increased integration for advanced sensor fusion and AI algorithms using a scalable device portfolio catering to different performance and power requirements from edge to endpoint. The VEK280 board features 12 GB (6x 2 GB, 32-bit), 192-bit LPDDR4 component with an integrated video decoder unit that supports H.264/H.265 and HDMI 2.1 video input and output. The VEK280 is not intended to be used in volume production and does not require complete reliability and production qualification.
