RS-485 Transceiver Protection Solutions

Bourns & Analog Devices RS-485 Transceiver Protection Solutions offer electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliant solutions for three protection levels for popular RS-485 communication ports. Each solution has been tested and characterized to ensure the dynamic interaction between transceiver and the protection circuit components functions together to protect against electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT), and surge immunity specified in IEC 61000-4-2, IEC61000-4-4, and IEC61000-4-5. The circuits offer protection for RS-485 interfaces using the ADM3485E against ESD, EFT, and surge levels found in harsh environments.
