Verdin Arm® System-on-Modules (SoMs)

Toradex Verdin Arm® System-on-Modules (SoMs) offer a revised, modern, and capable interface set to focus on ease of use, robustness, and future-proofing. Verdin is similar sized to Colibri but with a higher pin count. A DDR4 SODIMM edge connector provides a cost-effective, highly reliable, shock- and vibration-resistant connection. The Verdin modules tap into the rich Toradex ecosystem, offering industry-leading free support, an in-house open-source Linux operating system, and a range of partner operating systems including Android and QNX. These modules feature NXP i.MX 8M Plus, NXP i.MX 8M Mini, or a TI AM625 applications processor, depending on the model.

Verdin iMX8M Mini

Toradex Verdin iMX8M Mini features the NXP® i.MX 8M Mini embedded System on Chip (SoC). The Verdin iMX8M Mini incorporates DVFS (Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Switching) and thermal throttling. This feature allows the system to continuously adjust operating frequency and voltage in response to changes in workload and temperature. The Toradex Verdin iMX8M Mini has an optional Dual-Band (2.4/5GHz) Wi-Fi® ac/a/b/g/n and BLUETOOTH® 5/BLE interface. The Wi-Fi module features MHF4-compatible connectors for external antennas. The module is pre-certified for FCC (US), CE (Europa), IC (Canada), TELEC (Japan), and WPC (India).

i.MX 8 Computer-on-Modules

Toradex i.MX 8 Computer-on-Modules are based on the i.MX 8 family of embedded System-on-Chips (SoCs) from NXP. The i.MX 8 devices incorporate DVFS (Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Switching) and thermal throttling. These features enable the system to continuously adjust operating frequency and voltage in response to changes in workload and temperature to achieve peak performance with low power consumption. The Toradex i.MX 8 Computer-on-Modules target various applications, including medical devices, navigation, industrial automation, HMIs, avionics, POS, data acquisition, and robotics.
